Rock With Me - Review

Rock With Me - Kristen Proby

“You. Are. So. Amazing.” His soft lips brush over mine, back and forth, over and over again as he begins to move inside me. “Rock with me, baby.”

HOLY HELL, I LOVE LEO NASH! UTTERLY AND WITH FULL OUT DEVOTION! I WANT MY VERY OWN SEXY, TATTOOED ROCKER!

Rock With Me by Kristen Proby is about Leo Nash, front man of the world famous rock group named Nash, and Samantha Williams, Luke's sister. It is a good idea to read the other books in this series as all the characters are either related to one another or have other ties. It will be a more fulfilling read if you read the series in order.

Let's start by meeting the author's "inspiration" for Leo Nash. Oh Lordy, is he sexy!!!

The man is just sex on a stick.

“Don’t ever lie to me, sunshine. I don’t ever want you to run until your legs give out on you like this again. The only time your legs will shake like this is if I’m inside you.”

Leo Nash has made it big in the music industry. He has it all so it seems. When he decides to go back to Seattle to see his long time "sister", Meg, he meets Samantha Williams. With a nonchalant attitude and some crazy bitchiness, Leo knows that Sam has the potential to to change his world.

“Leo?”

“Yeah, sunshine.”

“So not a one night thing,” I whisper.

He chuckles softly and drapes an arm around me, pulling me closer to him. “I’m glad you’re catching up.”

Samantha Williams is no stranger to the lives of the rich and famous. After all, her brother is Luke Williams. She has been terribly hurt in the past by the price of fame which has made her standoffish and unapproachable. She doesn't show many people that under her tough exterior lies a compassion and caring woman who is simply scared to take any more chances on love. Meeting Leo Nash has all her red flags on high alert. But damn is he is not hard to stay away from. It has to be the sexy tattoos. Right????? ;)

“You make me forget how to breathe,” he whispers.

I love the way you kiss me,” I whisper back.

“Oh, sunshine,” I whisper and smile gently. “Haven’t you figured out that I’m completely in love with you?”

I loved this book. I am not usually one to read rock star romances but I decided to read Rock With Me because I love this series. I am now a Nash lover, make that a Leo lover. He was the perfect mixture of sexy, bad-ass and sweet. I absolutely loved how Leo saw past Sam's walls and saw something worth fighting for in her. As the barriers Sam has erected slowly begin to come down, we see how perfect they are for one another. Leo was the cocky and assertive man that Sam needed even though she was too stubborn to see it at first. Sam eventually realizes that Leo is different and gives into his seduction and charm. Hell, who wouldn't???

“Leo, you are the picture.”

*****

“I love you, Samantha Williams. Every damn day, I love you.”

Once again, Kristen Proby has provided us with a book full of hot and steamy scenes as well as a tender and heart-felt romance. The romance between Leo and Sam was simply heart-fluttering. It was nothing over the top. This was simply a book about a man meeting a woman, they connect, work through some hang-ups and move forward with a HEA. I loved it.

One of my favorite things about this series is all the amazing characters and the pee-yourself scenes that Ms. Proby writes so well. Every book seems to have discussions about orgasms, apagasms, horny men, horny women....you get the picture. Rock With Me is not without its share of hilarious moments and conversations. One of my favorite scenes is when Sam and Leo babysit Olivia and have the poopy diaper incident. Funny as hell!

Rock With Me was simply an amazing read and a wonderful addition to a great series. Kristen Proby never fails to deliver. This series is funny, sweet and well-written. I will be anxiously awaiting the next book about Caleb and Brynna.

When you smile

Your sunshine hits me

And the shadows in my soul

They are gone

“Are you happy?”

“Oh sunshine.” He sighs and pulls my hand up to his lips, brushes them over my knuckles and smiles widely at me. “Happy doesn’t even begin to cover it.”
