5 HUGE STARS!
How long did it take you to find your place in the world?
Why is it that Nicole Edwards books seem to leave me....
Making me want to....
And then....
HOLY SCREAMING VAGINA!
THIS. BOOK. HAD. IT. ALL.
Nicole Edwards has created an emotionally riveting book that had my heart clenching. And, because this author is who she is....this book was scorching H.A.W.T.
Ethan is the fifth installment in Ms. Edwards’ Alluring Indulgence series and it is also this author’s first foray into the M/M genre. Yes, in many of her books there are ménages and some M/M action; however, this book is her first solely M/M book. I have truly come to love this series and each time a new book is released and I pick it up, it truly does feel like I am coming home. I know I will be spending time with characters that I have fallen in love with and I definitely expect greatness each and every time. With this being said, I loved this book. For me, it was the best in the series thus far. I simply loved how this one packed more of an emotional punch than its predecessors. Maybe it didn’t and it is just me. I fell hard for Ethan and Beau and watching them reach for a happy forever was nothing short of beautiful.
Twenty-eight year old Ethan Walker is the brother who holds himself apart from his family despite of his love for them. He is definitely more elusive than his brothers and does not publicly exhibit his sexuality like the Walker men are prone to do. He is more comfortable leading a more simplistic and low-key life and does not really share in his brothers’ passion for the new Walker resort, Alluring Indulgence. He leads his life keeping a safe distance never truly forming real connections – romantic or otherwise. While Ethan has never come out and verbally admitted that he is gay, he knows that his family is not ignorant of this fact. Attract little attention. That is all Ethan wants. How quickly things change for the normally stoic Walker brother.
“I know exactly what I want. And you’d be smart to give in because I can tell you, I don’t have any intentions on giving up.”

“Not even I understand why I like being the first for you,” Ethan mumbled, the proclamation laced with what sounded like confusion.
Ethan. The man was his everything. All he needed. All he wanted. The very thing that completed him and right there in his arms was the only place Beau wanted to be.

“I want you,” Ethan whispered, the blue-gray of his eyes darker than Beau had ever seen them. Even in the dim light of the truck, he could see the intensity in his beautiful blue gaze. Grinning, Beau whispered, “I know,” against Ethan’s lips. “And you’ve got me.”
Twenty-six year old Beau Bennett has been a part of the Walker clan for quite some time. As Zane Walker’s best friend, the rowdy and boisterous family somewhat replaced the cold and unfeeling environment he grew up in. Having shared a recent experience that completely rocked Beau’s foundation, he is slowly starting to discover who he truly is. Beau may not have much experience with living his life as a gay man, but he finds himself extremely attracted to and intrigued by the handsome and reserved Ethan Walker.
As Beau uncharacteristically pursues Ethan, they both find that their attraction and connection for one another runs deeper than they could have ever imagined. Can Ethan move past his inner demons that have held him back for so long? Beau and Ethan head forward on a journey that is scary and new to both of them. Can they find their way and emerge on the other side together or will the bond that has gradually developed between the pair shatter and die?
I simply love how Ethan and Beau came together. Beau may have been the one to start things with a steely determination, but Ethan was unable to deny how deeply and profoundly he was affected by the unwavering sexy man in hot pursuit. Ethan is resolute in his stance to form no attachments, even with Beau, and Beau is not willing to simply be another meaningless encounter to Ethan. As both men fall in deeper with one another, they both must learn how to navigate the new and murky waters of what it would mean to be together. They learn together. They teach one another. And, ultimately, they are there for one another as they learn to let go of the past, heal and move onwards into a new beginning.
Ethan is yet another fantastically hot and emotionally heart-melting tale in this series that is most definitely one of my favorites. I had no doubt that Nicole Edwards would take on the M/M genre and own it. I for one hope that she ventures down this path again in future books. Whatever this author brings to her readers is sure to be made of awesome. I can’t wait for more.
